Focus and Scope

The international scientific and technical journal "System Research and Information Technologies" publishes theoretical and applied works on a wide range of issues related to systems analysis and information technology.

Main research areas:

  • Methods for the systematically coordinated solution of sequences of interrelated problems: purposeful, rational selection of multilevel hierarchical structures for complex systems; formation of a set of objective functions based on empirical data under conditions of conceptual uncertainty; determination of the Pareto set and multi-criteria selection of rational solutions under conditions of conflicting objectives.
  • Concepts and methodologies of systemic analysis of the resilience of complex technical systems: managing their safety as the basis for a strategy to identify, recognize, predict, and minimize risks associated with abnormal, critical, and emergency situations, as well as accidents and disasters, in real time under conditions of incomplete and contradictory information.
  • Research on control systems for objectsdescribed by nonlinear operator and differential-operator equations, inclusions, and variational inequalities in Banach spaces: proving existence theorems for optimization functions, justifying optimality conditions, developing methods for finite-dimensional approximations and extreme regularization of constraints.
  • Theoretical Foundations of Probabilistic Methods for Data and Knowledge Analysis:Mathematical and Statistical Modeling of Complex Systems in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Economics, and Medicine; Event Forecasting, Decision Support Methods, Diagnostics, and Automatic Control.
  • Theory and methods of Bayesian estimation and synthesis of Bayesian networks: methods for training them based on statistical data and drawing statistical conclusions. A systematic approach to network analysis enables the creation of computer-based decision support systems for risk analysis and event forecasting across various fields.
  • Fuzzy methods of inductive modeling in forecasting problems in economics and finance. A study of fuzzy neural networks in classification, cluster analysis, and forecasting problems.

The journal "System Research and Information Technologies" is a scientific periodical founded by the Educational and Scientific Complex “Institute of Systems Analysis” at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
