Focus and Scope

“Innovative Biosystems and Bioengineering” is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original and review articles, as well as short communications, on topics in applied biology, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering. The journal takes a systematic approach to bringing together the scientific insights of specialists from various fields who are engaged in scientific and technical research in the life sciences.

We accept manuscripts for consideration only if they include a biological (biomedical) component. Papers focused exclusively on issues related to information technology, mathematical modeling, or clinical medicine fall outside the scope of the journal.

The main topics are as follows:

Applied biology and biotechnology: the study of biological entities at all levels of organization of living matter, aimed at creating products and technologies beneficial to humanity; the development of innovative biotechnologies for various purposes; safety issues related to the handling and use of biological entities.

Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering: biochemical, cellular, and tissue engineering; biomaterials and biocompatible materials; electronic and computer bioengineering; biomechanical and rehabilitation engineering; bionics.

The journal "Innovative Biosystems and Bioengineering" is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication founded by the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” The journal publishes articles in English, ensuring the rapid dissemination of research findings among the global academic community. The journal adheres to high standards of publication ethics and ensures an objective evaluation of each submitted manuscript.
