Focus and Scope

The purpose of the scientific journal “Information Technology and Security” is to disseminate materials from fundamental and applied research and to create a platform for the exchange of ideas and research findings among Ukrainian and international scholars regarding all aspects of the application of modern information technologies in the security and defense sectors, as well as cybersecurity.

The main objectives of this publication are to highlight the challenges associated with the development of information technology in the security and defense sector, specifically:

  • the development of information systems and technologies;
  • information and cybersecurity;
  • cyber protection of critical infrastructure;
  • information warfare;
  • countering the use of social engineering methods and techniques;
  • mathematical and computer modeling;
  • the application of artificial intelligence systems and technologies in cybersecurity;
  • information protection in information and telecommunications systems and networks (including personal data protection);
  • information security management and information security risk management;
  • training of cybersecurity specialists, etc.

About the journal:

“Information Technology and Security” is an international peer-reviewed journal founded by the Institute of Special Communications and Information Protection at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The journal publishes original research of significant theoretical and practical importance for the development of information technology. The journal serves as a platform for the exchange of experience among researchers, offering free access to the results of research in the field of modern digital systems.

The editorial board ensures the high quality of submissions through a double-blind peer review process, which allows for an objective assessment of the scientific novelty of each paper. The journal is included in the list of scientific professional publications in Ukraine and indexed in international databases. We strive to expand the presence of domestic research in the global scientific community by ensuring the openness and transparency of the publication process.
